Hi!  I’m Rich Cahill, owner with my wife Gaby, of Panama Canal Fishing... thanks for stopping in.     

All of us here at Panama Canal Fishing were born & raised in Panama, have been fishing since we were kids and... just  love to fish!   

Before the start of Panama Canal Fishing, my wife Gaby and I  enjoyed sharing our passion with visitors, mostly friends and relatives that came to visit, as well as in my guiding work.  Thus, when the chance presented itself in the form of a Hurricane FunDeck Fishing boat, we asked ourselves “Why not?”  and turned our favorite past-time into a fun business, one we really enjoy.  

A bit more about me...  I have been active in the nature world here in Panama since 1990 when I started working with Ecotours , the country’s  first real ‘eco oriented’ nature company.   Than, I helped found with several partners, Ancon Expeditions,    where I work to this day guiding destination tour trips throughout Panama.   (We’ve worked hard and have had the gratification of seeing it grow into one of Panama’s largest and most reputable nature tour operators.)

My wife Gaby... owns & runs her own video production company, Blue Eye Productions, but finds time to help me with  the administration of Panama Canal Fishing as well as accompanying me  on some ‘exploratory fishing trips’.  She’s an enthusiastic angler... and one of the luckiest in Panama!

I’ve chosen only the very best guides to guide our fishing trips...Ariel and Julio. Both of them have lived all their lives in the Gamboa / Chagres River area and are among the most knowledgeble fishermen in Panama.

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR GUIDE, ARIEL, WHO WON FIRST PLACE IN THE GAMBOA 2007 FISHING TOURNAMENT IN THE TARPON CLASS... WITH A 42 POUND CATCH!
